Rep. Luetkemeyer: ‘Tentative’ plan is for hearing on data-breach bill next week

Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO), chairman of a Financial Services subcommittee that’s the starting point for consumer data security and breach notification legislation this year, says his “tentative” plan is to hold a hearing next week on the draft bill, while both his panel and the Energy and Commerce Committee continue separate stakeholder outreach efforts.
