Senate passes final version of defense policy bill carrying civilian and military cyber provisions

The Senate has given final approval to the fiscal 2023 National Defense Authorization Act, advancing a measure that addresses security for civilian networks, key programs like FedRAMP and an assortment of cyber related issues.

The measure passed the Senate tonight in a 83-11 vote, following House approval on Dec. 8. The sprawling package now heads to the White House for President Biden’s signature.
