Senate confirms Pekoske for another five-year term heading TSA; approves Fick for State Dept. cyber role

The Senate on Thursday approved the nomination of David Pekoske to serve a second five-year term as head of the Transportation Security Administration, an agency charged with cybersecurity oversight of pipelines, rail and aviation sectors, while also confirming Nate Fick to lead the new State Department cyber office.

The Senate voted 77-18 in favor of the Pekoske. He cleared the Senate Commerce Committee in July.
