EEI cyber leader: Industry, government working to 'pre-engineer' responses to grid emergency

A new rule on grid security emergencies issued by the Department of Energy this week reflects collaboration between the electricity sector and federal agencies, and is part of an effort to “pre-engineer” the response to a crisis affecting the electric grid, according to a top power-sector security official.
