CISA's Kolasky: Funding equipment testing a suitable role for government

A high-ranking DHS official is suggesting the government pay to facilitate testing of equipment for cybersecurity vulnerabilities, which would align with an evidence-based approach promoted amid scrutiny of Chinese telecom suppliers, but that has also raised cost and other concerns among “5G” equipment providers like Nokia.
