Mariam Baksh was a reporter for Inside Cybersecurity until January 2020. She covered cybersecurity initiatives across the transportation, energy, critical manufacturing, and healthcare industries. Mariam also covered policy issues around the Internet of Things and cyber-physical systems, including the National Institute of Standards and Technology's efforts to develop cybersecurity and privacy standards for emerging technologies.
Prior to joining Inside Cybersecurity in February 2018, Mariam covered the technology industry at Morning Consult where she focused on broadband expansion, competition and net neutrality policies emerging from Congress, the FCC and the FTC. A 2015 graduate of American University, Mariam worked as a graduate researcher at AU’s Investigative Reporting Workshop and has interned with The Washington Post, The Durango Herald and The Sacramento Bee.
