Sen. Blunt downplays action on election security even as lawmakers of both parties push legislation

Senate Rules Chairman Roy Blunt (R-MO) said Tuesday that election security is “not going to be our earliest priority,” even as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) pledged to vote this month on a major bill to “strengthen democracy” that would help states shore up voting systems and senators of both parties introduced new bills on the issue.
