Commerce extends comment deadline on export controls amid tech industry security concerns

The Commerce Department has extended the comment deadline on proposed export controls for emerging technologies in response to industry requests, while initial comments are raising concerns that proposed restrictions could undermine U.S. global competitiveness and national security.
