Security advocate to FTC: Enforce the basics on transparency, patchability and vulnerability disclosure

It is appropriate for the Federal Trade Commission to impose minimum requirements on businesses for cybersecurity, according to a security professional and advocate who participated in a “fireside chat” today with FTC Commissioner Rebecca Slaughter, as part of the commission's ongoing effort to assess its evolving role in an increasingly connected digital economy.
