Sen. Johnson urges Democrats to back 'hotlined' DHS cyber-agency bill; Homeland panel clears other cyber measures

Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chairman Ron Johnson (R-WI) on Wednesday expressed “hope” that Democrats would agree to “hotline” a bill to rename the Department of Homeland Security’s National Protection and Programs Directorate and allow it to pass the Senate, as the committee cleared multiple cyber-related bills including a bipartisan supply-chain security measure.
