Survey: U.S. companies unprepared for EU data rule taking effect in weeks

Many U.S. companies are largely unprepared for the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation, which goes into effect in four weeks with strict penalties for tough privacy and security requirements, according to a new survey by the information technology trade association CompTIA.
