House Intelligence panel releases election security recommendations amid partisan splits

The House Intelligence Committee on Thursday voted on partisan lines to approve a report containing election security recommendations, as it wrapped up its contentious investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 elections.

Committee Democrats voted against releasing “this deeply flawed report,” objected to holding the committee business meeting behind closed doors and vowed to issue their own “minority views” on Monday.
