Lawmakers, former federal officials stress continuity in wake of Kelly departure from DHS

Policymakers and former Obama administration officials with stakes in federal cyber efforts are stressing the need to empower acting Department of Homeland Security officials to make key decisions on cybersecurity issues -- and accelerate confirmation of national security nominees -- in the wake of former Secretary John Kelly’s departure from DHS to become President Trump’s chief of staff.
