Diverse industry group discusses ways to assist NIST framework process

Participants in a new cross-sector industry initiative met last week to discuss how they might contribute to the National Institute of Standards and Technology's efforts to keep the framework of cybersecurity standards at the heart of government-industry cyber efforts.

The Multi-Association Framework Development Initiative includes 33 trade associations representing all critical-infrastructure sectors as well as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Internet Security Alliance; the participants were all involved in development of the framework in 2013-2014.
