Senate approves bipartisan ‘CHIPS-plus’ bill, teeing up House vote on final passage

The Senate has approved “CHIPS-plus” legislation on a bipartisan 64-33 vote, with the House aiming for final action on the bill before adjourning this week for an August recess.

The Senate vote today included support from the entire Democratic Caucus aside from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and from 17 Republicans.
