U.S. files charges, secures extradition in multiyear ‘hacking and trading scheme’ run out of Russia

The United States today announced charges against five Russian nationals, and the extradition of one from Switzerland, for hacking into the systems of companies that prepare corporate earnings announcements and trading on the information before its public release, a scheme that allegedly netted more than $82 million over several years.
