TikTok/WeChat executive actions fall short of data security and privacy needs, says former FCC security head

The underlying security challenges related to massive data collection by foreign -- as well as U.S. -- tech and social media services are poorly addressed by piecemeal moves targeting Chinese-owned companies, according to former FCC security chief David Simpson.
