NIST releases security practice guide for hospitality sector on property management systems

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has issued for public comment “Securing Property Management Systems,” a guidance aimed at helping the hospitality sector address cybersecurity needs around the “operations hub” for hotels’ systems.

The draft version of NIST Cybersecurity Special Publication 1800-27 was released Monday by the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, and the public comment period on the guide runs until Oct. 28.
