TikTok ban raises questions on China policy moves executed through executive orders

Executive orders banning Chinese-owned social media services TikTok and WeChat are raising concerns among cyber policy veterans about both the move to exclude these particular products from U.S. markets, and a larger issue of distilling cybersecurity policymaking through executive actions largely targeting Chinese companies.
