FCC targets Huawei, ZTE in long-awaited proposal on Universal Service Fund

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai today unveiled a proposal to prevent largely rural telecom providers from buying Huawei or ZTE products with money from the FCC's Universal Service Fund, along with a plan for assessing the current use of such products in telecom systems and the cost to remove and replace the equipment.
