Commerce seen as likely to issue interim final rule in implementing supply chain order

The Commerce Department appears to be leaning toward issuing an interim final rule -- rather than a notice of proposed rulemaking -- to implement President Trump's information and communications technology supply chain executive order, but is stressing to industry stakeholders that it wants their input before releasing the new regulations, according to informed sources.
