USTelecom, major companies announce international CISO council to coordinate on cyber

USTelecom and major U.S.-based and international telecom providers have launched the International Communications CISO Council, or ICCC, as a “a venue for global network CISOs to collaborate on cyber security issues of mutual interest.”

The new body was announced today by USTelecom president and CEO Jonathan Spalter in a speech at the International Cybersecurity Conference at Tel Aviv University in Israel. Spalter said the initiative could offer a model for coordination among CISOs in other sectors.
