U.S. indictment of Russian intelligence officers reflects first culpability for devastating ‘NotPetya’ attack

The Justice Department today announced an indictment against six current and former Russian military intelligence officers for cyber attacks including the 2017 NotPetya attack that paralyzed transportation, healthcare and other systems around the globe, and linked the group to 2016 U.S. election hacks and an unprecedented attack on the Ukraine electric power grid.
