U.S. groups prepare to weigh in as EU's IoT certification plan advances

U.S. companies are preparing a final presentation of their argument -- some of which enjoys the support of at least one key consumer advocate -- on a pending European Union certification “scheme” for Internet of Things products, in advance of an April deadline for proposed amendments to the EU's Cybersecurity Act.

The Cybersecurity Act proposal, unveiled in September, would direct the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security to establish the certification scheme for IoT cybersecurity. A public comment...
