TSA sorts through rulemaking options on cyber, aiming for regulations that ‘stand test of time’

Examining the possibility of applying mandatory security controls through rulemaking is “the next logical step” in the Transportation Security Administration’s efforts to address cybersecurity for pipelines, rail and aviation, according to an official who says TSA is still considering the best regulatory procedure for ensuring robust industry input and an effective outcome on cyber.
