TSA’s security ‘action’ for aviation aims to publicly align key cyber requirements across sectors

The Transportation Security Administration’s most recent “emergency” action on cyber, spelling out several steps for aviation operators, aligns the publicly released cybersecurity requirements for three sectors under its jurisdiction as TSA moves to formalize these elements through a rulemaking process.

The agency on March 7 released an “emergency action” for aviation that resembles earlier “directives” issued for other sectors and publicly articulates requirements like network segmentation.
