TSA ‘emergency action’ updates cybersecurity requirements for aviation sector

The Transportation Security Administration has issued an “emergency” cybersecurity directive for parts of the aviation sector, requiring network segmentation and other measures that TSA applied last year to the rail sector.

“TSA is taking this emergency action because of persistent cybersecurity threats against U.S. critical infrastructure, including the aviation sector,” the agency said in a Tuesday release.
