Trump officials downplay impact of China's new cyber law, trumpet IP protections in trade deal

President Trump is scheduled to sign a phase-one deal with China on Wednesday and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is hailing its intellectual property provisions and what he called a ban on forced technology transfer, while denying that a new Chinese cybersecurity law would undermine some provisions.
