Trade group for investment funds urges SEC to consolidate cyber requirements

The Investment Company Institute, a trade association for investment funds, is calling on the Securities and Exchange Commission to consolidate cybersecurity risk management programs under its pending revisions to so-called Regulation S-P, as the SEC closed a public comment on that and another cyber-related proposal.

“Regulation S-P is the appropriate vehicle to address cybersecurity,” the Investment Company Institute says in its filing.
