Telecom advisory panel cites COVID-19 lessons, calls for bolstering communications across government, with private sector

The president’s industry-led advisory committee on telecom security is calling for increased guidance to “enterprise leaders” on responsibilities for securing the remote-work environment, and sufficient resources to ensure the secure rollout of next-generation communications networks with a focus on the FCC’s role in that process.

The President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee on Tuesday unanimously approved a letter to President Trump detailing information and communications technology resiliency activities amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and recommendations for improvements and next steps....
