Source: Congressional cyber commission debating figures for recommendations on R&D investment

Members of the congressionally mandated Cyberspace Solarium Commission are debating the appropriate amount of money to recommend for U.S. investment in research and development, as key industry leaders call for a major rethink of the issue in response to China prioritizing development of emerging technology.

“We haven't gotten there yet, on specific amounts,” a source familiar with the commission’s work told Inside Cybersecurity regarding recommendations due in April. "They're still debating that."
