SOTU without cyber mentions: Senate Republicans unconcerned, House Democrats ‘disappointed’ by Trump speech

Senate Republicans expressed little concern about President Trump’s State of the Union address and its lack of cybersecurity or data privacy mentions, while cyber-focused House Democrats said they were “not surprised,” but were “disappointed” with Trump’s lack of a cyber focus in the speech.

“It was the third longest State of the Union address in the history of the country…I think it’s fine that he didn’t mention everything in the world,” Senate Commerce Chairman Roger Wicker (R-MS) told Inside Cybersecurity....
