Senate Homeland Security sets July 24 nomination hearing for Plankey to serve as next CISA director

The Senate Homeland Security Committee will hold a July 24 hearing to consider the nomination of Sean Plankey to become the next director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.

Plankey was nominated to serve as CISA director on March 11. The committee planned to include Plankey in a June 5 confirmation hearing where National Cyber Director nominee Sean Cairncross testified but his appearance was postponed due to “paperwork issues,” according to a committee aide.
