Sen. King, a Solarium Commission leader, sees incident reporting mandate as key element in deterrence policy

The United States has the ability to disrupt international ransomware gangs but needs the private sector to report attacks, according to Sen. Angus King (I-ME), who is pushing for a mandatory incident reporting requirement for critical infrastructure operators accompanied by liability protection.
