Secretary Nielsen, government and industry officials discuss ‘risk registry,’ expanded sharing

NEW YORK CITY. Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and government and industry leaders here discussed creation of a cyber-risk registry that would underlie a new focus on risk management, as well as exercises and expanded information sharing intended to encourage badly needed cross-sector collaboration.

Nielsen, leading a panel discussion at the DHS National Cybersecurity Summit, urged participants to begin “thinking about” a cross-sectoral risk registry and whether that “would be helpful."
