Rep. Obernolte plans to reintroduce bill codifying AI Safety Institute at NIST

Rep. Jay Obernolte (R-CA) has announced plans to reintroduce legislation to codify the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Artificial Intelligence Safety Institute, amid concerns over the fate of the collaborative hub since President Trump revoked a sweeping 2023 AI executive order.
