NIST seeks comment on guidance addressing ‘a secure enterprise network landscape’

Evolutions in how businesses operate their networks have vastly increased attack surfaces and potential vulnerabilities, according to NIST, which has produced a new guidance examining the limitations of current security approaches and recommendations intended to “provide a comprehensive set of security services for the modern enterprise network landscape.”

The draft SP 800-215, “Guide to a Secure Enterprise Network Landscape,” was released Friday and is open for comment until Sept. 19.
