NIST’s Scholl: Industry buy-in for post-quantum cryptography standards to inform federal migration plan

The National Institute of Standards and Technology’s proposed timeline for the government to transition to post-quantum cryptography will be based on private sector investments in new algorithm standards released this week, according to computer security division chief Matthew Scholl.
