NIST releases AI risk management framework with elements addressing software, other cybersecurity concerns

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has unveiled its artificial intelligence risk management framework, intended to serve as a seminal document for industry and government officials grappling with cybersecurity, privacy and other issues stoked by the rapid emergence of AI.

“The AI RMF is divided into two parts,” NIST said today in a release. “The first part discusses how organizations can frame the risks related to AI and outlines the characteristics of trustworthy AI systems.”
