NIST opens lengthy comment period on developing AI security-related taxonomy and terminology

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has posted a draft report on “adversarial machine learning” that seeks to develop “a taxonomy of concepts” and define terminology that will be used in ongoing and future work on security solutions related to artificial intelligence.

The new draft NIST report, “Adversarial Machine Learning: A Taxonomy and Terminology of Attacks and Mitigations,” was released on March 8 and is open for comment until Sept. 30.
