NIST officials highlight proposed budget hike for cyber, post-quantum computing work at advisory board meeting

A key NIST advisory group kicked off a two-day meeting with presentations from senior officials on programs including post-quantum computing efforts and a view of proposed budget increases for the agency.

NIST’s Information Security and Privacy Advisory Board meets today and Thursday, with an opening presentation from Information Technology Laboratory director Charles Romine and a cybersecurity update from officials Kevin Stine and Matthew Scholl.
