NIST leader on IoT and cyber-physical issues offers update on self-driving vehicles

NIST’s Edward Griffor in a blog post explains the agency’s efforts on establishing safety standards for autonomous vehicles and creating a collaborative environment among researchers, developers and government.

“NIST is doing what it does best: building a consensus among interested parties on the measurements needed to evaluate automated vehicle safety and developing reliable measurement methods,” Griffor wrote in a blog post published Wednesday.
