NIST issues 'discussion draft' privacy framework prior to public meeting

The National Institute of Standards and Technology issued a revised draft of its privacy framework Tuesday, on the eve of a one-day public meeting today on helping companies and organizations manage data and privacy risks.

“Based on stakeholder feedback, this discussion draft is aligned with the structure of the Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity (Cybersecurity Framework) to support compatibility between the two frameworks,” according to the “discussion draft.”
