New rule under China's cyber law would limit data flow outside country

The Chinese Cyberspace Administration has issued a draft regulation that would make it more difficult for companies doing business in China to send data outside of the country, moving closer to implement an aspect of the new Cybersecurity Law that has drawn the ire of U.S. officials and American businesses.

If implemented, the regulation would add to an already complex and strict cybersecurity regime that restricts data flows, according to industry sources who reviewed the regulation.
