New America, civil and consumer rights groups urge passage of House privacy bill

The digital rights group New America is leading on a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) urging a floor vote on the Energy and Commerce Committee-approved bill that would set a first-ever federal privacy and consumer data protection standard.
