National Security Agency plans to test out security of zero trust in cloud environments with industry partners

Starting this spring, “red team” hackers from the National Security Agency, and potentially hackers from the military services, will attack major cloud service providers chosen by the Pentagon to test their zero-trust systems in each cloud environment.

Amazon Web Services, Google, Microsoft and Oracle were chosen in December for a major multi-cloud environment contract called the Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability. The contract is intended to replace the controversial JEDI contract that selected Microsoft as the single cloud vendor...
