Defense Dept. cancels JEDI Cloud contract, launches new multivendor effort

The Defense Department has canceled the multibillion-dollar Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure Cloud solicitation and is pursuing a new multivendor cloud effort called the Joint Warfighter Cloud Capability.

"The Department has determined that, due to evolving requirements, increased cloud conversancy, and industry advances, the JEDI Cloud contract no longer meets its needs," according to a DOD press release on Tuesday.
