Moody’s report cites cyber vulnerabilities related to interoperability of blockchains

A new report from Moody’s Investors Service advises that cyber vulnerabilities related to a blockchain interoperability tool known as the cross-chain bridge could limit broad adoption of blockchain and may need to be addressed with consistent standards.

“Cross-chain bridges process multi-step complex requests to enable transfer of assets,” Moody’s Abhi Srivastava said. “This exposes the bridges to a number of structural and operational vulnerabilities. It is a problem the blockchain sector will need to solve before it reaches broad-based adoption.”...
