MITRE draws from Sen. Warner’s white paper in offering cyber recommendations for health sector

MITRE, the nonprofit national security consulting and research firm, has released a policy paper on cybersecurity in the health sector with 17 detailed recommendations including creation of a healthcare-specific profile in the pending “CSF 2.0” update to the NIST cybersecurity framework.

The new MITRE paper, “Cybersecurity and Patient Safety in the Healthcare Setting,” was issued May 11.
