Landmark AI provisions dropped from House privacy bill headed to markup

The bipartisan privacy bill headed to markup this week in the House Energy and Commerce Committee no longer contains a section on civil rights and algorithms that would have represented an unprecedented step in U.S. artificial intelligence policy.
